Poland, officially known as the Republic of Poland, is a country in Central Europe. The country has a population of 38.54 million comprised of Polish (96.7%), Germans (0.4%), Belarusians (0.1%), Ukrainians (0.1%), and others (2.7%) (as per 2002 census). Religion plays an important role in the Polish society and culture. The country is family-centered and extended families are still the norm of the society.
